the machine mother told us of the planet of your birth - we know how you have harmed this place, with your pollution, your violence, and your dischord - but when we arrive there, we will cleanse the surface of that place, and merge it, with the harmony of the many

Here's an old, old screenshot you might get a kick out of - it dates all the way back to Nov 2007. I've always been an incurable nosey explorer in games, forever trying to find the chinks and cracks the devs overlook...

And in Incline I found a way to get off the map completely by climbing a twisty route up through the northern mountain range. Don't think they ever fixed it properly either - guess we'll never know now. Ah well. Anyway, enjoy! :)

there are actually bane down there but due to there no being a "200%" or whatever view distance option you can't see them unless zoomed in which is silly

I took it after my team failed to keep the Earth wormhole CP and decided to do it with another team the next day (we won yay) - i solo killed the boss for fun :)

I'm afraid I was responsible for the creation of at least one invisible wall in TR - the one preventing access to the extreme SE corner of the Divide map...

You know how you get "predator traps"? Tar pits and swamps where animals get caught, and then predators get caught trying to catch the animals? Well that's what SE Divide was. On paper the zone looked incredibly inviting...it even had the promise of greenery in an otherwise blasted section of the map. And it could easily be reached by a moderately determined nosey climber with a few strategic hops from fallen tree trunks to cliff edges...but it was a one way trip, a trap!
Once down inside the area there literally was no way back out. There were no personal waypoint generators back in the beta of course, so the only escape was to log out then back and use the /stuck command to teleport you to the nearest base - a must have command for all overly inquisitive explorers  ;D

So it made sense to report that one to the dev landscaper, and then test it once he'd slapped a last minute invisible wall there...but I confess there were other holes I found that I neglected to mention because it was possible to escape from them. Should I have reported them? Hmm, probably - but where's the fun in that eh? ;)

Anyway, back on topic - here's a far more recent climber shot, from the Final Event in fact :)
