Ingame music (AKA GLM File Extractor)

Yeah i am probably going to get shouted at for this....
BUT, i know you guys have asked for the ingame music at one point or another, so i would say its only fair that you get the opportunity to grab your hands on it.
LINKAGE
Have fun, and if you have any questions just ask here.
The glm files that you would be looking for are music01.glm, music02.glm, music03.glm and the sound effects are stored in the audio files.
Note: There *might* be an issue with 64bit OS's due to how the registry is set up and read from that...

I think that this is a good idea as we paid for the game why can't we extract the music to use in our own time.

Oo very nice. Quick and easy extraction. However, then I needed to spend 40 minutes going through and tagging every file. End result: me, extremely happy to have my TR music.

Hmm, if you installed TR into its default installation it *should* have picked it up.
Anyway, what OS are you using right now... need to know that so i can tell you how to fix it (as i have said if you were using a 64bit OS on this one it *could* have had an issue with it)
There needs to be a registry key at
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCsoft\Tabula Rasa\]
containing the string
Code:
"InstallPath"="C:\\Program Files\\NCsoft\\Tabula Rasa\\"
There are now 2 things you can do if it isnt present.
1) Create your reg key there
Right click on the right hand side of the registry editor, Choose NEW and then "String Value"
Call that Value = "InstallPath" (no quotes)
In the data column for it, Type in the path of where you installed TR. It should look something along the lines of "C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Tabula Rasa\" (minus the quotes again)
2) Download the attatchment here, double check that the installation directory is *where* you have installed it to (correct the data if need be), rename the file extension to .reg and then double click it.
It should then allow it to work properly.

I am using windows xp 32bit
How do you find the HKEY_Local_Machine?
There is no link for downloading an attachment.

Click the link (its UNDER the main post) to download test.txt.
You will need to edit the contents inside it (ie just replace the information that is incorrect) and then rename the file to test.reg...
THEN just double click that to install it automatically into your registry.

yes.... it should be pretty obvious about what it does.... people though at the time were just interested in the music so i just named the topic accordingly.

I even made a registry entry myself like you told to, but it still says can't find tabula rasa. Do I need to run the program from a specific directory or does it matter?

Doesnt matter where you run it from at all. I run mine from inside a directory of My Documents, and i have a seperate version which i run off my USB hard drive.
Are you running a 32 bit OS or a 64bit OS?
Have you tried adding the .reg file put up for you to download to see if that helps out? Its attached to one of the previous posts.

I had the same problem in win 7, originally installed the game in vista. Couldn't fix it even with modifying the registery, worked flawlessly in vista tho.
